It is a privilege to be the Chief Executive of such an inspiring and forward-thinking organisation with passionate and dedicated staff, volunteers, Trustees and partners and the comprehensive range of services, projects and interventions we provide together with care leavers and care experienced individuals and communities.

Having worked in health and social care and education mainly with vulnerable young people and adults for many years I was very aware of the need to support individuals with lived experience of the care system. I came across the Rees Foundation Charity and immediately felt a “kindred spirit” with an infrastructure aligned to my operating principles of valuing individuals as social and finance assets instead of a deficit model which is often presented about people of difference.
